Papertrey Blog Hop - Pumpkin Shaped card

Well, it's another month of blog hoppy goodness over at Papertrey Ink!  Here is the inspiration picture:
And my final card is a shaped pumpkin card ... even though the circle might seem more like an orange! :) I used my MS circle cutter and then added a hand cut chocolate brown stem.  A few Delightful Dahlia leaf die cuts (one popped up on foam dots, the other glued on) and stamped in Chicken Feed Jenni Bowlin ink.

I used Faux Ribbon's dotted line stamp that I curved and stamped in Colorbox Frost White ink to make my orange-like shape more like a pumpkin.  A die cut in chocolate brown of 'happy' from PTI's Wonderful Words in chocolate and some stickers from Basic Grey's Basic Whites alpha stickers and that was it!  I used a tip for perfect placement of sticker letters by sticking them half onto the plastic packaging.  Then, when they are all lined up, press them down onto the cardstock and then carefully peel away the plastic from the bottom.  VoilĂ !  I added some Glossy Accents to make the white alpha stickers a little more dimensional and shiny.

Supplies:
Paper: Gina K dark chocolate, sweet mango, green grass
Stamps: PTI's Faux Ribbon
Ink: Colorbox Frost White, Jenni Bowlin chicken feed
Misc: Wonderful Words 'happy' die,  Tombo Mono Multi glue, Glossy Accents, Basic Grey Basics white alphabet stickers, foam dots

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop - I'm here for you

Well, it's another month of blog hoppy goodness over at Papertrey Ink!  Here is the inspiration picture:
And here's another card I made using this as my jumping off point.  I really like the almost upholstered looking fabric in the pic and found some great orangey shades in my Basic Grey Ambrosia 6x6 pad.

I layered white mesh (actually drywall tape) that is sticky on the card with some eyelet border lace felt that I cut.  I then used a Mat Stack that I stamped with Versarmark and then embossed with white embossing powder.  Since I love my impression plates, I put the mat stack through my Cuttlebug with the cane print impression plate.  A few foam dots, some corner rounding and I was done!

Supplies:
Paper: Basic Grey Ambrosia 6x6 pad, Gina K dark chocolate, Staples 110lb white
Stamps: PTI Think Big Favorites #4
Misc: Mat Stack 1 die, foam dots, white felt from my stash, drywall tape, Tombo Mono Multi glue, Cane Print impression plate

Papertrey Ink - October Blog Hop - Shaped card

Well, it's another month of blog hoppy goodness over at Papertrey Ink!  Here is the inspiration picture:
I took the colours as my inspiration rather than making a pumpkin card ... here is my first creation:
I used my Labels 1 dies to make a shaped card with a white card base and then layered it with some Ambrosia Basic Grey patterned paper, a dark chocolate frame and then used Vintage Labels stamp set for the dotted border and a sentiment from Modern Wood Mats.  I stamped both in Jenni Bowlin Brown Sugar.  Super simple and easy to mail.

Supplies:
Paper: Basic Grey Ambrosia 6x6 pad, Gina K dark chocolate, Staples 110lb white
Stamps: PTI Vintage Labels, Modern Wood Mats (sentiment)
Misc: Labels 1 die, Tombo Mono Multi glue

Papertrey Blog Hop - Live your bliss

Well, it's another month of blog hoppy goodness over at Papertrey Ink!  Here is the inspiration picture:
I love the orange and white shades ... I also love my background basics retro design.  I stamped the design repeatedly in Versamark and then heat embossed with Winter Wonderland slightly sparkly embossing powder.  I mounted this on a white card base and then used a foam dot to pop up the photo finishers die cut that I stamped with the sentiment from Mega Mixed Messages with green Jenni Bowlin ink.  Love that I have found so many sentiments that fit with these dies! :)

Supplies:
Paper: Gina K sweet mango, Staples 110lb white
Stamps: PTI Think Big Favorites #4
Ink: Jenni Bowlin seed packet (green), PTI chai vintage ink, Versamark
Misc: PTI photo finishers die, foam dots, Winter Wonderland embossing powder

Papertrey Make it Monday - Layered mats and frames - Just a note

I had a really tough time taking a picture of this one but I tried my hardest! :)  This card had a lot of steps so let me get started!
I layered a vintage book page cut in Mat Stack 4 with an angled label die cut.  I then used my Beautiful Blooms die to cut out a flower in the top layer.  I stamped Text Style's background text image on the turquoise die cut and then the angled label outline.  I used a brush pen to make the flower shape more obvious.

On the white layer, I stamped the sentiment from the Signature Series dress form.  Love the combined fonts!  I used a dark chocolate card stock that I impressed with an impression plate.  Foam dots were placed behind the turquoise layer to pop it up from the white layer and then I just put the dark chocolate cardstock onto the white card base.  Done! :)

Supplies:
Paper: Staples 110 lb white, dark chocolate, turquoise, vintage book print
Stamps: PTI Text Style, Angled Labels, Signature Series dress form (sentiment)
Ink: Jenni Bowlin Speckled Egg, Spiced Tin
Misc: PTI Impression Plate, Beautiful Blooms die, Mat Stack 4 die, Angled Label die, brush pen from my stash

Papertrey Make it Monday - layered mats and frames - Noel

I liked this week's technique spotlight on layered mats as frames.  I took my 2.5" Limitless Layers from Papertrey and cut it twice in Ocean Tides and Kraft stock using the sun shape.  I then cut out a circle from the same set so that I was just left with a frame of the Kraft cardstock.
I had previously used the Book Print Impression plate to give the Kraft layer a bit more dimension.  I stamped Speckled Egg (Jenni Bowlin ink) snowflakes from my Mod Squad set on the white card base and on the ocean tides layer.  I then stamped the Think Big Favorites sentiment 'Noel' in Spiced Tin Jenni Bowlin ink and then once it was all dry, I used the Frosted Lace Stickles to add a little bling spread about with my finger.
I popped up the framed kraft layer on foam dots and set it off a bit so you could see the tips of the Ocean Tides layer behind.

Supplies:
Paper: Staples 110lb, PTI Ocean Tides, Kraft
Stamps: Think Big Favorites Holiday Collection, Mod Squad
Ink: Jenni Bowlin Speckled Egg, Spiced Tin
Misc: Book Print Impression Plate, Stickles frosted lace, foam dots, PTI Limitless Layers (2.5")
