PTI Make it Monday #216 - Hello there

This week, over on Nichole's blog the uber talented Laura Bassen is showing how to dress up cover plates.
I had a great time mixing Perfect Pearls with inks and painting away on a water colour piece of paper die cut with the Circles cover plate.
I added a piece of water colour paper in behind with some splashes of colour and impressed it with the In Bloom impression plate.  I love the look this gives peeking out!
I then used a Scripted die to cut some Enchanted Evening card stock - a nice colour combination with the pinks and the navy.
You can see the Perfect Pearl pearlescent sheen a bit better here:
The inks were a combination of Avery Elle and Fresh inks blended with Pefect Pearl pearlescent poweder and water.

If you have a moment, check out my crafty sale of items including a brand new ombre ink pad:

June 2015 Papertrey Blog Hop: Just because

This month, I was able to participate in the Papertrey Blog Hop with new release products - they arrived just this afternoon!  The school year has just ended and now I have some time to get crafty!
I took a piece of Recollections gray card stock as my base and cut a 110lb cream Recollections piece with the diagonal cover plate.  I layered that over with a glue pen and then went to town with my Fresh Ink in peach on a piece of card stock before die cutting my (brand spanking new!!) Scripted word.
I added a Bloomers die cut and stamped piece (also brand spanking new!!) using Fresh Ink in turquoise and Versafine Onyx Black.
A little foam tape and gluing and that was it!

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy the hop and check out my sale of crafty items - I even have a brand new ombre ink pad for sale.

Father's Day card - love

I have been a bit obsessed with cover plates.  I made a card set of cover plate cards (see my instagram account) and made another for my Father's Day card.  A simple design - a black cover plate die cut over a cream card base.
I added a blinked Wet Paint die cut in gold glittered paper with five layers below of cardstock to add some dimension and pop it up a bit.  Super simple but well received by my dear father. <3 p="">

And here is a sympathy card I made for a colleague - very simple.  I used the Giga Guidelines medallion with a Graceful Garden sentiment.
I used my trusty MISTI to do some ombre stamping with two aqua Avery Elle colours.  I love that you can stamp over and over again in the same position for some depth.
The background is the Text Impression plate for some texture.  I love my impression plates for this very purpose!

Watercolor Blog Hop - hello

Over at Pretty Pink Posh, Paulina is hosting a fabulous blog hop:
watercolor.bloghop
Gorgeous inspiration, right?  I decided to make a simple card with some watercolouring.
I swiped some different Avery Elle inks mixed with water over a piece of thick Strathmore water colour paper.
When that was dry, I took a PTI Hello die and die cut the word cut out, keeping the negative of the e and o.
I popped up the panel on a teal card base (paper from PTI) with lots and lots of foam tape and added back the negative pieces.  Now that it is photographed, I see it needs a little bling so I will be adding some sequins, for sure!

Thanks for stopping by.  Check out my crafty sale, if you like. I even have an ombre ink pad for sale!
